Rolex has never happened
A woman tries to sell two Rolex watches on eBay auction site, but was not able to publish it after the payment. Half the money of the tenderers
Berwick judge heard that Kelly Preston announced watches, even if the Crown Prosecution Service not quite sure that it exists.
Highest bidder was contacted by e-mail, and convince them that half (£ 1,500) in one lump sum to the defendant pay his Paypal account had exceeded its limits. Another bidder was asked to pay £ 550 per transfer, but according to the prosecutor James Long, watch never arrived.
Preston, who lived with Beadnell facts, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by false representation and was released sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay £ 1,050 compensation.
In mitigation, defense lawyer Ian O'Rourke said 33-year old two vintage replica watches were authentic, but since discovered one of them was a fake. He said there was no apology, but added. "I can not for the life of me why people should find care of this type on eBay outside the protection regime Paypal," he said one of the buyers was particularly gullible as they already their money refunded Paypal before accepting the transfer of money from the Bank.
O'Rourke and the Probation Service told the court that Preston had "traumatic life events" exceeded in recent months, and presented the evidence. Magistrates heard the defendant was a qualified accountant, but because of these crimes, it would not be able to return to work in this area.
